Energy efficiency

Energy efficiency (efficient energy use) is the result of thought-out and implemented measures the goal of which is to reduce energy usage to lowest level possible, while keeping the comfort and production levels intact.

Simply put, energy efficiency means using less energy for doing the same work, or function (heating, cooling, illumination, production etc.).

It is important to note that energy efficiency should not be seen as a form of economizing energy, as economizing implies a certain compromise, while efficient energy use never distorts working and living conditions. Energy efficiency results in decreased energy consumption for the same amount of products or services, which ultimately brings proportionate financial benefits.
